More New Films for 2009!!!

I've had several films "in production" for years. My goal is to release 5 new films in 2009. They will be: BLUE BULLETEER- CAPTURED BY THE CLOAK, PLANET OF THE DAMNED (both now in release), THE SANGOR SYNDROME, STORMY TEMPEST: PERILS IN THE PAST and NIGHTVEIL- THE SORCERER'S EYE. Our latest, PLANET OF THE DAMNED, released yesterday, is flying off the shelves.

We will also release a short STORMY TEMPEST giantess movie in the next few weeks. John Gotschall is whipping up some fantastic effects for that one. GHOST OF GARGANTA (with Brenna Barry, Maria Paris and Nicola Rae --- all star cast!) is slated for 2010 release. We will be shooting Bren's giantess scenes at the end of this month. In addition we have released at Cultretro modified versions of AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN and NIGHTVEIL: WITCH WAR.

For the record: MARIA PARIS is BLUE BULLETEER/NIGHTVEIL, AMY LoCICERO is SYNN and lead in PLANET OF THE DAMNED, BRENNA BARRY is GARGANTA in AMAZING COLOSSAL WOMAN and GHOST OF GARGANTA, NICOLA RAE is STORMY TEMPEST, NYOKA and COLOSSA (in GOG) and MIKE ACORD is THE CLOAK and LON MADNIGHT. Take a bow! I love them all. They are fantastic!

Wild news: Our current lead actress, Nicola Rae, is pulling a "Maria Paris" and moving to the West coast in July. So we thought we'd try to get another original production filmed while we have her. We are shooting a short NYOKA THE JUNGLE GIRL video on June 23-24. It'll be like a middle chapter in a serial, all action, little plot. Lots of peril & bondage. Here's the kicker: we have a real Hollywood fake gorilla to play SATAN. Brad Gorby found this guy who lives locally but is friends with Bob Burns in Hollywood. Bob has been the No. 1 "guy in a gorilla suit" for decades. This guy, Chris Casteel, has an official Bob Burns gorilla suit and he's in to play SATAN in our NYOKA! We shoot next Wed, June 24. This will be so cool! Even Rebekah is excited! Also John Gotschall found an incredible CGI pendulum set. It's even better than the one Corman used in PIT & THE PUNDULUM. We're going to shoot Nyoka in that set on green screen Tues night, June 23. We hop to also release this short in 2009.

I'm encouraged by the success (so far) of Cultretro. John is also experimenting with CGI Poser animation. In the STORMY giantess short he has many flying rocketmen, tanks, gun turrets, etc. He has a GTS babe in a brief scene who faints when giant Stormy peers into her apartment window. So we are considering doing 5 minute short "shorts" featuring other AC characters as CGI animations. John has already built over 20 Poser models of them and says it doesn't take much longer to set up an animation than it does a still frame for a CGI comic story. We're thinking of testing the waters with a ZIP-JET short as he has rocketman/woman models and lots of flying animations already done and the costumes of ROCKETMAN and JET GIRL are skin tight making them easier to deal with. Nightveil & Daughter of Don Q

Nightveil WitchWar Director's Cut Download is available now, along with the DVD of the serial cliffhanger classic Daughter of Don Q starring the gorgeous Adrian Booth (Queen Vultura from the Nyoka serial).

Nightveil: WitchWar Special Edition

Bill has produced a new cut of Nightveil: WitchWar which features some tweaks to existing special effects and some different shots and editing changes. This isn't a complete overhaul of the film, but it's a fresh coat of paint on a few scenes and it will be available for download in the next few days. The QuickTime and Windows Media files are being rendered right now. WitchWar Special Edition is NOT planned for release on DVD...at least not at the moment.

Also look for a new promo video to hit YouTube called "Wild Women Wear Smarty Pants". We'll embed it on the CultRetro site itself once it's up.

Stormy Tempest Production Update

Stormy Tempest is well underway with the first full edit of the movie now complete. Sound effects editing and visual effects work is in progress, as is construction of the final set... the cockpit of Stormy's vessel. We expect to have a quick day of filming later this May which will provide the final shots needed to complete the movie. With everything going as planned (ha!) we hope to have Stormy ready to premiere in just a few short weeks!

Check back to this page often as we plan to provide updates on our progress and more shots from the film and of the lovely NICOLA RAE as we go along. Updates on Planet of the Damned will be posted as well, which is also nearly ready for release! It's going to be one HOT summer!

The latest entry from Smarty Pants Entertainment and Galaxay International is a unique fusion of Barbarella and Space Patrol with Bill Black's added twists of humor and cult movie craziness. NICOLA RAE stars as the statuesque sci-fi heroine Stormy Tempest as she journeys back in time from 2525 to modern day Florida on the trail of the Gorla Monks, temporal terrorists intent on resurrecting thier lost queen. Stormy expects that futuristic space monks with metal face masks shouldn't be too hard to find in the early 21st Century, but she quickly discovers that the monks run amok at a major comic book convention! Surrounded by thousands of costumed civilians, Stormy must make her way through the throng and stop the Gorla Monks to not only save the world, but the very fabric of the space-time continuum! Sentient spaceships! Interstellar battles! Alien menaces! Laser gunfights! And a few twists and surprises that you have to see to believe!
